The Haglöfs Open 5 adventure race series is back for the 2013-2014 season
One of the UK’s biggest Adventure Racing series is returning for 2013-14 and its 8th year of racing. Once again the Open 5 series is also being sponsored by Swedish brand Haglöfs and aims to take competitors out into some of the best locations in the UK.
What’s it all about?
The aim of these five hour event is to visit as many points as you can in the five hours, some controls can only be collected by mountain bike and others by foot. With the controls having differing values the key to the Haglöfs Open5 series lies in having a combination of both fitness and navigation skills.

There should be a bit of this…

Haglöfs are proud to work with Open Adventure, the Haglöfs Open 5 are events where every detail has to be thought of, often in challenging terrain and conditions. There is a great affinity to the Haglöfs product range, it is a great testing ground for versatility as it involves both running and biking. It is a true grass route event that is suitable for novice to elite competitors played out in some of the best areas of the UK for outdoor activities, it isn’t your normal A to B event.
