In the grand scheme of things, obstacle racing events like Tough Mudder, Spartan Race and the Rat Race Dirty Weekend aren’t overly dangerous. There aren’t (usually) any man-eating animals that you’re required to fight to pass an obstacle and any fire, is usually a lot less dangerous than it looks.

Perhaps surprisingly, most injuries sustained on obstacle racers have more in common with your everyday training types of accidents (with a few notable exceptions) and can be easily prevented if you follow our simple tips.
