The Canadian manufacturers of bombproof outdoor gear have opened their first stand-alone store in Europe in London.
The 70-m2 shop is located in the St Martin’s Courtyard shopping area right in the middle of Covent Garden in the busy West End of London and adjacent to the Mercer Street branch of Snow and Rock. The dedicated brand store houses stocks a complete collection of Arc’Teryx gear from their hiking, mountaineering, alpine climbing, wintersports, packs and lifestyle ranges.
Not only does the store have a design inside that reflects thestyle of the brand with photography shot by Arc’teryx photographers Angela Percival and Brian Goldstone but it’s also set to be a bit of an events space too. It will be the first port of call for exclusive product previews and talks by Arc’Teryx sponsored athletes like renowned British climber James McHaffie and bouldering sensation Mina Leslie-Wujastyk.
The store has actually been created in partnership with Snow and Rock and is the first in a flurry of shops to open worldwide. New Seattle and Vancouver branches are set to open on September 3rd and October 1st respectively.
Neil Bradley, Regional Commercial Director EMEA at Arc’teryx commented: “We’re thrilled to continue the rollout of Arc’teryx within the UK. There’s a growing, loyal following for the brand and this partner-store is a new way for us to make more Arc’teryx products available to our consumers whilst also allowing us to give more of a flavour of what the brand stands for. To do this together with one of our retail partners is also very satisfying; we are really dedicated to working together with our customers to build our joint business.”
